Communication skills
Balancing hockey, school, and home life
Every athlete receives support that is holistic, practical, and directly based on their personal challenges.

WHAT WE DO
1-on-1 Mindset Coaching for hockey players
At Summit Edge, we take a full-picture approach to developing confident, resilient young athletes. Hockey performance is deeply connected to everything happening in their world — school, social life, family expectations, and relationships with coaches. Our coaching supports all of it.
Our Summit Edge program is offered in AS NEEDED (ONE OFF), bi-weekly or monthly sessions, tailored specifically to the athlete’s needs. Coaching is private, supportive, structured, and completely individualized.
Built on Ethan’s core principles: confidence, discipline, resilience, leadership.
Our coaching model follows four intentional phases designed to build strong, grounded, high-character athletes—from the inside out.
"HOW YOU DO ANYTHING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING"
1: FOUNDATION
"KNOW YOURSELF BEFORE YOU GROW YOURSELF"
Confidence • Awareness • Reset
This phase re-establishes the athlete’s base and gets them grounded, calm, and confident.
Focus Areas:
ADP: Annual Development Plan intake
Identifying strengths, struggles, and barriers
Confidence rebuilding after cuts, slumps, or setbacks
Emotional regulation + calming the nervous system
Resetting negative self-talk
self awareness
perfectionism & fear of mistakes
Basic routines, structure, and accountability
Outcome:
A stable, confident foundation where the athlete feels supported and ready to grow.
2: MINDSET MECHANICS
"DISCIPLINE BEATS MOTIVATION"
Discipline • Habits • Performance Tools
Here, athletes learn to think, prepare, and train like high-level performers.
Focus Areas:
Goal-setting using the Summit Method
Creating daily and weekly performance habits
Pre-game & pre-performance routines
Visualization and focus tools
Managing pressure during key moments
Navigating team politics and inconsistent roles
tryout prep
sleep, nutrition basics
Building consistency and internal discipline
Outcome:
The athlete becomes more prepared, resilient, and confident under pressure.
3: ENVIORMENT MASTERY
"YOUR ENVIORMENT SHAPES YOU-LEARN TO MASTER IT"
School • Social • Family • Coaching Dynamics
Confidence doesn’t come from hockey alone—it comes from stability in every area of life. This phase tackles the external pressures that affect performance.
Focus Areas:
Peer dynamics & social confidence
Locker-room culture + communication
Balancing school stress with hockey
Time management & routine building
Navigating coach relationships
Handling expectations at home
social media and comparison
drama/gossip/team politics
Managing distractions and emotional load
distraction control
Outcome:
The athlete becomes stable, balanced, and confident in all environments—not just on the ice.
4: IDENTITY & LEADERSHIP
"CHARACTER IN YOUR COMPETITIVE EDGE"
Character • Integrity • Long-Term Growth
This is where Ethan’s leadership background shines: captaincy, MVP, King Clancy, CHL Scholastic Player of the Year. Athletes learn to carry themselves with maturity, character, and a grounded sense of identity.
Focus Areas:
Personal standards and internal leadership
leadership skills
Who you are outside of hockey (identity beyond hockey)
Handling success & adversity with maturity
Accountability and ownership
Being a great teammate
Long-term mindset and goal vision
Resilience, humility, and character development
Outcome:
A confident, grounded, high-character athlete who leads by example—on the ice, in school, and at home.
